ROBITIN LIIKEVAIHTO JA SAADUT TILAUKSET KASVOIVAT

Robitin alkuvuoden 2020 kehitys oli vakaata ja yhtiön odotusten mukaista. Yhtiö jatkoi systemaattista työtä kohti pitkän tähtäimen strategisia tavoitteitaan. Koronapandemian nopean maailmanlaajuisen leviämisen vaikutukset yhtiön tuotteiden kysyntään olivat katsauskaudella vähäiset.

Konsernin liikevaihto kasvoi 7,1 % vertailukauteen verrattuna ja oli 21,5 miljoonaa euroa (20,1). Ensimmäisen neljänneksen saadut tilaukset olivat 24,9 miljoonaa euroa, missä on kasvua 6,8 % vertailukauteen ja 31,5 % vuoden 2019 viimeiseen neljännekseen verrattuna. 

”Kaivosliiketoiminta kehittyi ensimmäisellä neljänneksellä positiivisesti etenkin EMEA-alueen Top Hammer -myynnissä. Saimme katsauskauden aikana mm. kaksi isoa kaivostilausta CIS- ja Itä-Euroopan alueelta. Kaivosliiketoiminnan osuuden kasvattaminen on yhtiölle strateginen painopistealue ja olemme tyytyväisiä viimeaikaiseen kehitykseen. Down the Hole – liiketoiminnan osalta liikevaihto ei kehittynyt kaivos- ja louhosmarkkinoilla täysin odotuksien mukaisesti ja segmentin kehitystyö jatkuu.”, toteaa CEO Tommi Lehtonen.

Katsauskauden aikana yhtiön käyttöpääoman tehokkuus parani. Operatiivinen kassavirta oli edelleen epätyydyttävällä tasolla ollen -0,9 miljoonaa euroa (-1,1). Yhtiön käyttökate (vertailukelpoinen EBITDA) oli 1,0 miljoonaa euroa (1,1). Konsernin omavaraisuusaste katsauskauden lopussa oli 46,9 prosenttia (49,9).

Koronavirus pandemian aiheuttama epävarmuus muutti yrityksen toimintaympäristöä nopeasti katsauskauden loppupuolella. Yhtiö käynnisti maaliskuussa neuvottelut mahdollisista lomautusjärjestelyistä Suomessa kysyntään liittyvän epävarmuuden seurauksena. Myös yhtiön ulkomaisissa yksiköissä valmisteltiin ja toteutettiin säästötoimenpiteitä.

”Yhtiön strateginen valinta keskittyä vain kulutusosiin palkitsee näissä poikkeustilanteissa. Koronavirustilanteen uskotaan vaikuttavan rajallisesti yhtiön kysyntään. Tällä hetkellä näyttää siltä, ​​että kaivos- tai rakennustyömaiden poraustoiminnot jatkuvat pääosin ilman keskeytyksiä. Vaikutukset Robitin toimintaan riippuvat siitä, miten kauan tiukemmat rajoitustoimet kuten yksittäisten kaivosten sulkemiset jatkuvat ja leviävätkö nämä uusiin meille keskeisiin maihin”., toteaa CEO Tommi Lehtonen.

Robit tiedotti 24.3.2020 luopuvansa toistaiseksi tulosohjeistuksestaan vuodelle 2020. Koronaviruksen synnyttämä epävarmuus toimialan ja talouden kehityksestä vaikeuttaa liiketoiminnan näkymien normaalia ennakoimista. Näkymiä ja ohjeistusta voidaan päivittää jälleen, kun markkinatilanne tarjoaa siihen normaalit edellytykset.

ROBITIN SUOMEN HENKILÖSTÖÄ KOSKENEET YT-NEUVOTTELUT OVAT PÄÄTTYNEET

Robit -konsernin Suomessa työskentelevää henkilöstöä koskeneet YT-neuvottelut ovat päättyneet. 

Yhtiö tulee lomauttamaan henkilöstöään Suomessa jaksoittain huhti-elokuun 2020 välisenä aikana. Lomautusten kesto vaihtelee riippuen työtehtävästä, ollen kuitenkin enintään 90 päivää per henkilö ajanjaksolla 14.4.2020 – 31.8.2020.

Neuvottelujen piirissä oli noin 65 henkilöä. Toimenpiteiden taustalla on koronaviruspandemian aiheuttama lisääntynyt epävarmuus. Robit varautuu pandemian aiheuttamaan mahdolliseen kysynnän vähenemiseen sekä muutoksiin liiketoimintaympäristössä. Mahdolliset muutokset saattavat vaikeuttaa raaka-aineiden ja komponenttien saatavuutta sekä logistiikkaa ja täten hidastaa normaalia työn etenemistä

The employee cooperation negotiations concerning all Robit’s personnel based in Finland have ended.

As a result, the Company will temporarily lay-off its personnel in Finland during April – August 2020.The duration of the temporary lay-offs varies depending on the work assignment, up to a maximum of 90 days per person during 14.4.2020 – 31.8.2020. 

Employee cooperation negotiations concerned approximately 65 people. The measures are based on the increased uncertainty caused by Coronavirus Pandemic. Robit is preparing itself for a possible decline in demand caused by the Pandemic. Changes in the business environment might adversely influence on the availability of raw materials and components as well as logistics, and therefore slow down the normal progress of work.

ROBIT INITIATES EMPLOYEE COOPERATION NEGOTIATIONS REGARDING LAYOFFS IN FINLAND

Robit initiates employee cooperation negotiations regarding possible lay-offs due to the effects of coronavirus. The procedure will cover all of the company’s personnel in Finland, a total of approximately 65 people from all employee groups. The possible layoffs will be temporary and have a maximum duration of 90 days. In addition to Finland, measures will also be taken as required in the company’s units abroad. 

“Forecasting the changes in the demand for our products and business prospects is currently difficult due to the uncertainty created by coronavirus. Robit is preparing itself however, for a possible decline in demand caused by the pandemic. Changes in the business environment caused by the pandemic might adversely influence on the availability of raw materials and components as well as logistics, and therefore slow down the normal progress of work,” says CEO Tommi Lehtonen.

The employee cooperation procedure will start on 27 March 2020 and last for two weeks at most. The exact number of layoffs and their length and form will be determined during the procedure.

ROBIT KÄYNNISTÄÄ YT-NEUVOTTELUT LOMAUTUKSISTA SUOMESSA

Robit käynnistää Suomen yksiköissään yhteistoimintaneuvottelut mahdollisista lomautuksista koronaviruksen aiheuttamista vaikutuksista johtuen. Neuvottelujen piiriin kuuluu yhtiön koko Suomen henkilöstö, yhteensä noin 65 henkilöä kaikista henkilöstöryhmistä. Mahdolliset lomautukset ovat määräaikaisia ja kestoltaan enintään 90 päivää. Suomen lisäksi myös yhtiön ulkomaisissa yksiköissä tehdään toimenpiteitä tarpeen mukaan. 

”Tuotteidemme kysynnän muutosten ja liiketoiminnan näkymien ennakointi on tällä hetkellä vaikeaa johtuen koronaviruksen synnyttämästä epävarmuudesta. Robit varautuu kuitenkin pandemian aiheuttamaan mahdolliseen kysynnän vähenemiseen. Neuvottelut alkavat 27.3.2020. ja kestävät maksimissaan kaksi viikkoa. Lomautettavien tarkka määrä sekä lomautusten pituus ja muoto ratkeavat neuvotteluissa.

ROBIT PLC, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS 1 JANUARY–31 DECEMBER 2019:
NET SALES GREW AND CASH FLOW DEVELOPED POSITIVELY

2019 was a year of changes for Robit. The company launched and implemented an efficiency program according to plan. As a result of the program, the Group’s net sales grew EUR 86.5 million (82.7), an increase of 5% on an annual basis. The last quarter, in particular developed favorably with net sales growing by 18% year-on-year.

Operating cash flow improved by EUR 3 million to EUR 1.8 million. The company’s result (comparable EBITDA) also improved by EUR 6.2 million to EUR +2.7 million (-3.5).

Order intake increased by 8% compared with the previous year and was EUR 87.3 million (80.8).

“Through the efficiency program, we succeeded in consolidating our operations. Overall, demand was positive in 2019. The mining industry market remained active and our most significant successes in civil engineering were achieved in piling projects. In the global market situation, many disruptive factors are discernable. These are not expected to have an impact on Robit’s consumables business, however, and we expect demand to remain stable in 2020. The company’s current cost structure and sales-focused resources provide opportunities for growth in net sales and improved profitability in 2020”, says Robit CEO Tommi Lehtonen.

The number of personnel decreased by 34 employees in 2019 and was 252 (286) at the end of the year. The decrease was mainly due to the reorganization of Down the Hole production operations, in which production at the Halco Brighouse (UK) factory was relocated to two of the company’s other plants.

Robit’s guidance for 2020 is that the company is aiming for growth in net sales and for improved euro-denominated comparable EBITDA profitability than the previous year.

ROBIT OYJ, TILINPÄÄTÖS 1.1.-31.12.2019:
LIIKEVAIHTO KASVOI JA KASSAVIRTA KEHITTYI POSITIIVISESTI

Vuosi 2019 oli Robitille muutosten vuosi. Yhtiö käynnisti ja toteutti suunnitelmien mukaisesti tehostamisohjelman. Ohjelman tuloksena konsernin liikevaihto kasvoi 86,5 miljoonaan euroon (82,7), eli kasvua oli vuositasolla +5 %. Erityisesti viimeinen vuosineljännes kehittyi suotuisasti liikevaihdon kasvaessa +18 % edellisvuoden vastaavasta ajankohdasta.

Operatiivinen kassavirta parani 3 miljoonaa euroa, ollen 1,8 miljoonaa euroa. Yhtiön tulos (vertailukelpoinen EBITDA) parani niin ikään 6,2 miljoonalla eurolla päätyen +2,7 miljoonaan euroon (-3,5).

Tilauskertymä kasvoi 8 % edellisvuoteen nähden ja oli 87,3 miljoonaa euroa (80,8).

”Onnistuimme tehostamisohjelman avulla toimintamme vakauttamisessa. Kysyntä oli kokonaisuudessaan vuonna 2019 myönteistä. Kaivosteollisuuden markkina oli edelleen aktiivinen ja maanrakennuksen projektitoiminnan merkittävimmät onnistumiset saavutettiin paalutusprojekteissa. Globaalissa markkinatilanteessa on tunnistettavissa monia häiriötekijöitä. Näillä ei nähdä olevan vaikutusta Robitin kulutusosaliiketoimintaan ja kysynnän odotetaan säilyvän vakaana myös vuonna 2020.Yrityksen nykyinen kustannusrakenne ja myyntipainotteisesti kohdennetut resurssit antavat mahdollisuuden liikevaihdon kasvattamiseen ja kannattavuuden parantamiseen vuonna 2020”, toteaa Robitin CEO Tommi Lehtonen.

Henkilöstön määrä väheni vuoden 2019 aikana 34 henkilöllä ollen vuoden lopussa 252 henkilöä (286). Vähennys johtui pääosin Down the Hole tuotantotoiminnan uudelleenorganisoinnista, jossa Halcon Englannissa Brighousessa sijaitsevan tehtaan tuotanto siirtyi yhtiön kahteen muuhun tehtaaseen.

Robit ohjeistaa tavoittelevansa vuonna 2020 liikevaihdon kasvua ja edellistä tilikautta parempaa euromääräistä vertailukelpoista EBITDA–kannattavuutta.

Robit on uudelleenorganisoinut ja siirtänyt tytäryhtiönsä liiketoiminnan Hongkongissa Millionbase International Ltd:lle.

Millionbase International Ltd. jatkaa Robitin myyntiä ja asiakaspalvelua yhtiön DTH- tarjonnan jakelijana Hongkongissa. Millionbase ottaa vastatakseen myös nykyisen paikallisen varaston.

ROBIT PLC: FINANCIAL REVIEW JULY – SEPTEMBER 2019
POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT CONTINUED ALSO DURING THE THIRD QUARTER

As a result of the efficiency program, the company’s key priority areas – sales and cash flow – developed positively. Order intake grew by 17.7% relative to the comparison period and was EUR 22.5 million. Operating cash flow was EUR 1.9 million (-3.9). Robit’s effiency program is progressing and the implementation will continue throughout the year 2019.  

In the review period, mining industry demand was stable for drilling consumables, and demand is expected to remain at the current level. Regionally, there were indications in the Nordic countries of weaker market conditions in the cyclical construction industry. This has not yet impacted demand for Robit’s offering.

In the review period, the Group’s net sales grew by 6.8% year on year and totaled to EUR 22.2 million (20.8).  Comparable EBITA remained negative and was EUR -0.3 million (-1.2). 

The company’s profitability in the quarter was weakened by equipment sales losses, right-downs and non-recurring expenses totalling to EUR 0.9 million related to the restructuring of Halco’s operations. The cost savings will be realised in full from financial year 2020 onwards.

Sales growth projects progressed mainly as planned during the quarter. Robit’s key objective is to further increase of market share. In the current period, the company received the largest single project order in its history. Also the sales in Piling business developed particularly positively.

The company’s new structure presents an opportunity to increase sales without significant investment or cost increases and makes the Group more agile in responding to market changes.

ROBIT OYJ: TALOUDELLINEN KATSAUS HEINÄ-SYYSKUU.2019
KEHITYS JATKUI POSITIIVISENA MYÖS KOLMANNELLA NELJÄNNEKSELLÄ

Tehostamisohjelman tuloksena yhtiölle keskeisimmät painopistealueet, myynti ja kassavirta kehittyivät myönteisesti. Tilauskertymä kasvoi 17,7% vertailukauteen nähden ja oli 22,5 miljoonaa euroa. Operatiivinen kassavirta oli 1,9 miljoonaa euroa ( -3,9).  Robitin tehostamisohjelma etenee ja ohjelman toteuttaminen jatkuu koko vuoden 2019.

Katsauskaudella kaivosteollisuuden kysyntä oli kulutusosille eli porakalustolle vakaata ja kysynnän uskotaan jatkuvan nykyisellä hyvällä tasolla. Alueellisesti syklisessä rakennusteollisuudessa oli Pohjoismaissa havaittavissa merkkejä alan suhdanteen heikkenemisestä. Tämä ei ole vielä vaikuttanut Robitin tarjonnan kysyntään.

Konsernin liikevaihto katsauskaudella kasvoi 6,8 prosenttia vertailukauteen verrattuna ja oli 22,2 miljoonaa euroa (20,8). Vertailukelpoinen EBITA jäi negatiiviseksi ollen -0,3 miljoonaa euroa (-1,2).

Yrityksen kannattavuutta neljänneksellä heikensivät Halcon toimintojen uudelleenjärjestelyihin liittyvät laitteiden myyntitappiot, alaskirjaukset ja kertaluonteiset kulut yhteensä 0,9 miljoonaa euroa. Uudelleenjärjestelyistä saatavat kustannussäästöt toteutuvat täysimääräisesti tilikaudelta 2020 alkaen.

Myynnin kasvuhankkeet edistyivät neljänneksen aikana pääosin suunnitellusti. Robitin keskeinen tavoite on edelleen kasvattaa markkinaosuutta. Kuluvalla kaudella yhtiö sai mm. historiansa suurimman yksittäisen projektikaupan ja erityisen myönteisesti kehittyi myynti paalutusliiketoiminnassa.

Yhtiön uusi rakenne antaa mahdollisuudet kasvattaa myyntiä ilman merkittäviä investointeja tai kustannusten kasvua, ja tekee siitä entistäkin ketterämmän reagoimaan markkinoiden muutoksiin.

Increasing shareholdings highlights the major shareholder’s commitment to Robit’s further development. In recent years, the company has internationalized and grown strongly and at the same time profitability has become the challenge This has also been reflected in the development of the company’s share price.

In the beginning of the year 2019 the company launched an efficiency program. As a result, sales and profitability have developed favorably in the first two quarters.

PÄÄOMISTAJA KASVATTAA OMISTUSTAAN ROBIT OYJ:SSÄ

Robitin pääomistaja Five Alliance Oy kasvattaa omistusosuuttaan Robit Oyj:ssä. Five Alliance lisäsi osakeomistustaan n. 1,.2 miljoonalla osakkeella päätyen 26,7 prosenttiin Robitin osakekannasta.

Osakeomistuksen kasvattaminen korostaa pääomistajan sitoutumista Robitin edelleen kehittämiseen. Yhtiö on viimeisten vuosien aikana kansainvälistynyt ja kasvanut voimakkaasti ja haasteeksi on muodostunut kannattavuus. Tämä on näkynyt myös yhtiön osakekurssin kehityksessä.

Vuoden 2019 alussa yhtiö käynnisti tehostamisohjelman. Tämän seurauksena kahden ensimmäisen kvartaalin myynti ja kannattavuus ovat kehittyneet suotuisasti.

ROBIT PLC HALF YEAR REPORT 1 JANUARY–30 JUNE 2019:
EFFICIENCY PROGRAMME ADVANCING – ORDER INTAKE IS AT A GOOD LEVEL

Robit’s efficiency program is progressing and implementation will continue throughout the year.
The second quarter order intake of EUR 22 million was approximately 3% higher than in the comparison period. The order intake for the first half of the year was EUR 46 million, also up approximately 3% year-on-year. 

Net sales were at the level of the comparison period and, compared with the first quarter, net sales grew 9.7%. The operating result was negatively impacted by a EUR 1.0 million write-down related to a lease liabilities at the Halco Brighouse production plant.  

As part of the efficiency programme, Robit sharpened its DTH business production strategy. As a result, production at the Sherman factory in the USA was discontinued and transferred to the company’s other manufacturing plants. At the beginning of July, it was decided to transfer manufacturing of Halco products in Brighouse (UK) to Robit’s factories in Chesterfield (UK) and Perth (AU). Through the decision, the company will prepare at the same time for a possible Brexit.

Robit revised the guidance for 2019 on 2 August,2019. According to new guidance the company’s EBITA profitability for the year 2019 will be negative and the release of capital tied up in the business will be less than the original target.

ROBIT OYJ PUOLIVUOSIKATSAUS 1.1.-30.6.2019:
TEHOSTAMISOHJELMA ETENEE – TILAUSKERTYMÄ HYVÄLLÄ TASOLLA

Robitin tehostamisohjelma etenee ja ohjelman toteuttaminen jatkuu koko vuoden.
Toisen vuosineljänneksen tilauskertymä 22 miljoonaa euroa oli noin 3 % korkeampi vertailukauteen nähden. Ensimmäisen vuosipuoliskon tilauskertymä oli noin 46 miljoonaa euroa kasvaen niin ikään noin kolme prosenttia edellisvuoden vastaavasta ajankohdasta.

Liikevaihto oli vertailukauden tasolla ja vuoden ensimmäiseen neljännekseen verrattuna liikevaihto kasvoi 9,7 %. Liiketulosta rasitti 1,0 miljoonan euron arvonalennuskirjaus, joka kohdistui Halco Brighousen tuotantotilojen vuokravastuisiin.  

Osana tehostamisohjelmaa Robit tarkensi DTH-liiketoiminnan tuotantostrategiaa. Tämän seurauksena USA:ssa sijaitsevan Shermannin tehtaan tuotanto lopetettiin ja siirrettiin yhtiön muihin tehtaisiin. Heinäkuun alussa päätettiin siirtää Halco-tuotteiden valmistus Brighousessa (UK) Robitin Chesterfieldin (UK) ja Perthin (AU) tehtaisiin. Päätöksellä yhtiö varautuu samalla mahdolliseen Brexitiin.

Yhtiön henkilöstömäärä oli katsauskauden päättyessä 269 (290) henkilöä.

Robit päivitti 2.8.2019 ohjeistustaan vuodelle 2019. Uuden ohjeistuksen mukaan vuonna 2019 EBITA-kannattavuus jää negatiiviseksi ja liiketoimintaan sitoutuneita pääomia vapautuu alkuperäistä tavoitetta vähemmän.

ROBIT PLC INTERIM REPORT: 1 JANUARY-31 MARCH 2019:

EFFICIENCY PROGRAM ADVANCED ACCORDING TO PLAN – ORDER INTAKE GREW BY OVER 30%

Robit will publish more comprehensive reports than before on a quarterly basis to provide its shareholders with better information on the company’s development.

Robit Plc’s order intake was EUR 23.2 million and compared with the previous quarter it grew by over 30% (EUR 17.6 million Q4/2018). The company is satisfied with sales development. Net sales totalled EUR 20.1 million (EUR 21.1 million Q1/2018) and therefore declined by 5% compared with the corresponding period Q1/2018. Net sales grew, however, by 7% compared with the previous quarter (EUR 18.8 million Q4/2018). Sales development in the early part of the year creates a promising foundation for the rest of 2019 and will facilitate the company’s return to a growth track.

The efficiency measures undertaken have improved profitability. Reported EBITDA improved compared with the corresponding period the previous year and was EUR 1.1 million. Excluding the impact of IFRS 16, EBITDA was EUR 0.6 million (EUR -0.5 million Q1/2018).

Robit’s efficiency program, which was launched in December, is continuing to advance according to plan. The programme is focused on four areas: developing the distributor network and the company’s own sales, better management of working capital, more effective use of factory network capacity and resources, and ensuring the motivation and performance of personnel.

As part of the efficiency programme, the company decided in March to move Down the Hole (DTH) product manufacturing at the Sherman factory in the USA to the company’s other manufacturing plants. Production at the Sherman factory will end during the second quarter of the year.

At the end of the review period, the company had 283 employees (302 Q1/2018).

In 2019, the company’s goal is to achieve positive EBITA profitability and a significant release of capital tied up in the business.
